Yes, definitely it was Witezar. I am having fun looking into all of this horse history. I currently live part time in Colorado and am only about 15 minutes from the Circle 2 ranch. It is now a very fancy golf course, but still has the most magnificent views of the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies.

My uncle, Burr Betts, of Colorado leased Witez II from 1960-1964. As a little girl, I used to hear a lot about this horse. I’m sure I saw him when we would visit from Indiana, but I don’t remember him. I also used to hear about another very valuable horse there at Circle 2 Ranch, but I cannot remember his name. I remember an impressive stallion barn where they did IVS, selling Witez II to mares all over the world. I enjoyed your video. It has inspired me to buy the book And Miles To Go for my adult daughter who raised Thoroughbreds and does 3 Day Eventing.
