He was rescued from a feedlot and lived to the age of 32. For at least 15 years of "Red's" life, Harbut took care of his every need. What are the two thinking at that moment? Does Red care about his miniature likeness? ⁠ ⁠ Harbut suffered a debilitating stroke in 1946 and was no longer able to take care of Red. Harbut died in October 1947, and just a month later, Red died peacefully.
